Make sure to file this at the top of your “things to try next summer” list.

It’s called a SurfStage and surfing invention is rabout to bring perfect surfing breaks to shores of Lake Okanagan.

SurfStage is designed and manufactured by Kelowna based company Voltus Industries Ltds. The company was founded by young entrepreneurs Daniel Benson and Laurence Parlane in 2015 and is marketed as the world's first and only floating sheet wave.

"Spectating is as much a part of the SurfStage experience as surfing. That is why we designed the SurfStage to sit as close to shore as possible. A close proximity to the shoreline creates easy access via water or dock and in turn engages a large audience," reads the product description on the company's website.
