Canada’s medal count continues to climb at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.
A trio of Tuesday medals has brought Canada’s medal count to 10, including the country’s latest gold, in mixed doubles curling.

Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris defeated the pair of Penny Perret and Martin Rios of Switzerland 10-3 to claim the gold medal.
The teams were tied at two through two ends, but the game was blown wide open after a big mistake by Rios led to four points for Canada.
Lawes and Morris then impressively held the Swiss to a single point before adding another pair of their own in the fifth end.
With the gold medal in sight, Canada was able to steal another pair in the sixth end, building an insurmountable lead and forcing Perret and Rios to concede.
The gold medal is Canada’s sixth in curling, but its first in mixed doubles after the event was added to the Olympics this year.
It’s also the second gold for both Lawes and Morris, as Lawes won at Sochi and Morris claimed his gold at Vancouver 2010.
