Canada’s Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir delivered another dominant performance in Tuesday’s free dance competition, earning them their second gold medal of the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.

They entered the final portion of the competition up by almost two points on the French pair of Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron.
After Papadakis and Cizeron put up an impressive score, Virtue and Moir needed the performance of their careers to claim gold.
They did just that.
Needing 121.62 to claim gold, the Canadian duo put up 122.40 and erupted into cheers when the judges announced their score.
The American pair of Maia and Alex Shibutani took home the bronze with a score that was well behind the top two pairs.
This latest medal is the fifth of Virtue and Moir’s Olympic careers, and their third gold.
It adds to their gold from the team event last week, their gold at Vancouver 2010 and their two silvers from Sochi 2014.
The pair have already announced that PyeongChang 2018 will be their final Olympic games.
They’re certainly going out on top after carrying the Canadian flag into the opening ceremonies and winning gold in both of their competitions.
