Ironman Canada announces its return to Penticton in 2020

One of the most difficult triathlons in the world is returning to Penticton.

On Tuesday, Ironman Canada announced the iconic event will take place in the South Okanagan’s largest city on Aug. 30, 2020. 

Following nearly three decades of being based in Penticton, Ironman Canada left the city for Whistler in 2012.

The iconic endurance test features a 3.86-kilometre swim, a 180.25-kilometre bicycle ride and a 42.2-kilometre run all in sequence.
