Thanks to recent and early snowfall within most of the BC Interior, Apex Mountain Resort in Keremeos will have their best ever opening day on Friday in terms of snow level.

All lifts will be open on Friday, which was a week earlier than anticipated, thanks to the recent snowfalls within the area. Almost three weeks ago, the resort stated that they had received 90 centimetres of snow, which is akin to mid-January conditions.

Then, in the last 48 hours, 30 cm of snowfall pushed the alpine base level to 138 cm, providing perfect powder for riders to shred beginning this weekend.

Apex, which has over 1,112 skiable acres, was recently honoured with the Mountain Resort of the Year award by BC Alpine.

If you want to grab a ticket for Friday's opening day, you can do so here.
