Going, going, gone… as we fall into winter. Here’s a few places I’ve explored this past month that I recommend adding to your outdoor list!

A walk around a local ski hill this past weekend was beautiful a great way to welcome December.

One of my favourite hikes along Okanagan Lake past Paul’s tomb while there’s no snow!

In today’s world of powerful technology, many people feel the urge to simplify and get back to nature. And it’s easy to do here in the Okanagan!  To experience the health benefits of outdoor recreation, it’s necessary to unplug and recharge in the wilderness. Those who are able to soak up everything nature has to offer find out why being outside is important—it comes down to health.

Late fall paddle on mission creek.

Find time today to venture outside and take advantage of the health benefits of the outdoors. Replace time spent inside on electronic devices with a hike on our many trails in the Okanagan or a walk to a local park. We set the example for our kids to GET OUTSIDE!  There are so many health benefits of getting outside whatever your doing.
There’s no wrong way to get outside and so much to be gained by exploring the natural world.

Winter sunset from Gyro beach.

A winter wonderland.

And the sunsets just never disappoint. You don’t have to fly away to see amazing sunsets, you can see them right here in Kelowna!

A champagne powder day at another one of our local mountain resorts, nothing like it.

Stand up Paddle (SUP) is a great way to stay in shape over the winter. The sounds of the snowflakes landing on the lake, it’s beyond the most peaceful place ever.  It’s not just a summer sport !! Especially here in the Okanagan! We are so blessed!

The people of the beautiful city is what makes it so special and comforting. Wishing you all a very safe and special holiday season.

Stay calm through this busy season and paddle on.
