4.9 Earthquake off Port Hardy Coast

B.C. residents living in the northern region of Vancouver Island experienced a bit of a shake up Saturday morning after a 4.9 magnitude earthquake rocked the Port Hardy area.

The earthquake struck 206 kilometres offshore and west of Port Hardy.

According to Earthquake Canada, no damage due to the quake has been reported and none are expected. There is also no tsunami expected.
