After an initial investigation, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was called to the scene of a suspicious death in the 9500 block of Surrey.

It was shortly just before 10:00 a.m. Friday morning when Surrey RCMP was called to the scene of a deceased male found in a vehicle near Surrey City Centre.

As always IHIT investigators want to speak with anyone who saw or heard anything out of the ordinary in the area where the vehicle was located,” said IHIT Media Relations Office, Sergeant Stephanie Ashton.

IHIT is expected to be on scene for a number of hours and is working closely with Surrey RCMP to determine exactly what took place.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have information to call the IHIT tipline at 1-877-551-IHIT or e-mail at ihittipline@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
