RCMP Investigating Death of 3-Year-Old in Prince George

The death of a small child in Prince George on Saturday is now under investigation by RCMP and BC Coroners Service.

Just before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, a three-year-old was seriously injured by a vehicle in a residential neighbourhood. Emergency services rushed to the scene near Massey Boulevard and Ospika Boulevard in Prince George and transported the child to the University Hospital of Northern BC.

Tragically, the child died as a result of the injuries from the collision.

RCMP say that the investigation is currently in its early stages.
