A community is in mourning after three young men were killed in a tragic accident near Hope early Friday morning.
The horrific crash occurred around 4:00 a.m. when the car the trio were in crashed into the Hunter Creek weigh station. A passerby saw the crash and immediately called 9-1-1 but when police arrived all three were found dead inside the vehicle. RCMP has not confirmed the identities of the victims but a social media group has identified them as Morgan Peters, Brad Webb, and Devan King.

“I feel incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to know and teach Brad. His smile and laugh truly were infectious. Each of you were taken far too young,” said teacher Kristen Peters.
Hundreds of people have joined the group on Facebook as the community mourns what were sure to be three young, bright men full of potential. Friends and family of the three boys have created a Go Fund Me account to help the families deal with the shock of the deaths. So far nearly $3,000 has been raised in just a matter of hours with a goal of $15,000.

“His happiness was just so contagious. Seeing him Thursday afternoon was such a blessing for me and I'm glad to say I could see him so happy one last time. He's such a great guy and I don't have one bad thing to say about him. We're all so lucky that we got to meet and grow closer to him,” said friend Sam Bishop of her friend Morgan.
Several memorial events will be held for the boys, including the hanging of Morgan’s hockey jersey at Prospera Centre in Hope on Tuesday.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the RCMP’s Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Section, Fraser Valley Traffic Services and the BC Coroner’s Service.
