Christina Lake resident Amanda Louise Koppin, aged 33, was driving her SUV westbound on Highway 3 near Christina Lake at about 3:00 p.m. on March 26th, 2015. She was about 200 metres west of East Lake Drive when her vehicle was struck on the roof by a large, dead tree. The tree fell onto the highway about 28 metres down from a cliff high above. The tree fell end-over-end and landed directly onto Koppin’s vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
