Whistler RCMP have a lot of their hands with their second stabbing over the long weekend.

After a 19-year-old was killed the previous night, another teen suffered stab wounds just before midnight on Sunday, May 17th on Whistler Way. “Officers attended to the scene and located the 19-year-old victim who suffered multiple stab wounds,” said Sergeant Rob Knapton, Operations NCO for Whistler RCMP. The victim was transported to the local clinic and then taken to Vancouver for medical treatment.

“At this time there is nothing to indicate that this incident was related to the incident on Saturday night,” said Sgt. Knapton, though he did note it was the second stabbing in Whistler over the May long weekend.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
