Man Rushed to Hospital After Shooting Outside Coquitlam Mall

Coquitlam RCMP are looking for more information after a shooting in the parking lot of Coquitlam Centre.

On Friday, May 22nd, RCMP responded to a report of shots fired just before 3 p.m. in the parking lot. Officers say that the male victim was in a vehicle at the time of the shooting. The man was then rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No one else was injured at the scene.

Investigators believe that the shooting was targeted at this time. Suspects fled before officers arrived in the area.

The parking between Barnet Highway and Coquitlam Centre were closed on Friday for the investigation, with the public urged to stay away until the scene examination was complete.
