A four-year-old in Prince George had a birthday he’ll never forget thanks to a surprise police visit.

Cpl Dave Tyreman learned that a four-year-old was having a police-themed birthday party on June 20th, and he just knew that a squad car would have to make an appearance. Not only did Cpl Tyreman visit, but so did Cst Trevor Hurley, who was in Red Serge from attending Aboriginal Day celebrations at the newly named Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park.

The officers drove up and started up the siren in the driveway. Soon, some very small partiers were tumbling out the door to see what was going on. The kids got to see the police car up close as well as both the ceremonial Red Serge and working order uniform.

Four-year-old Capper said it was the “best party ever”, but the RCMP are giving all the credit to Capper’s mom.
