Accident Closes Coquihalla Highway

Update: Drive BC is estimating the time of opening between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday night. Northbound traffic is being rerouted north of Hope at Exit 183, Kawawka Lake Road.

The Coquihalla Highway is closed due to a vehicle incident.

The closure on Highway 5 started at 11 a.m. Saturday morning. The northbound lane is fully closed two kilometres south of exit 250, Larson Hill. The southbound lane is reduced to a single lane and traffic can expect delays.

A detour is available via Highway 1.

There is no estimated time of opening and an assessment is in progress.
