If you have ever wanted to adopt a Boston terrier, the Cowichan and District SPCA wants to meet you.
A total of 27 dogs were surrendered to the SPCA branch on Sunday, and now staff and volunteers are busy caring for the adorable dogs. There are 16 puppies, all four weeks old, and 11 adults, one male and the rest female, ranging in age from one to three years old.
“They are so cute! They’re very sweet and so endearing,” said Cowichan and District BC SPCA Branch manager Sandi Trent, noting the nursing moms and their puppies are in foster care while the rest are settling in at the shelter. “They’ve upped the adorable factor here big time! We’re hoping to eventually, find them all loving, forever homes.”

Before the dogs can be adopted out they must be spayed and neutered, and a couple of the pups may need to be at the branch longer due to mange and potential neurological problems.
“We received 12 (pet adoption) applications for seven of the dogs just this morning,” Trent said. “They’re easy to fall in love with.”
