A vehicle fire on the Coquihalla Highway closed lanes for about an hour on Thursday as crews worked to put it out.

According to VSA Highway Maintenance, a motorhome caught fire just before 3:00 p.m. in the northbound lane near the Falls Lake exit. The large fire forced the closure of northbound lanes and one southbound lane.

The fire has been extinguished, but one lane is still closed northbound on Highway 5.

Motorists can expect 40 minute delays in the area as emergency crews remain on scene. There’s no word on injuries or how the motorhome caught fire. Check DriveBC for the latest updates on road conditions.
