Snowy weather is affecting driving conditions on the Coquihalla Highway.

Drivers are urged to slow down and drive according to road conditions, especially near the summit between Merritt and Hope.

One southbound lane of the Coquihalla Highway is closed 500 metres south of Zopkios, according to VSA Highway Maintenance.

Drive BC is also reporting that the southbound lane is closed at the Zopkios on-ramp due to a motor vehicle incident.

It is unknown how long road closure may call delays, but crews are reminding drivers that the 120 km/h speed limit is for ideal road conditions, not during snowy weather.

Current road conditions are available on the Drive BC website
