Tragically Hip announce tour dates, 2 B.C. shows included

Canadian band, The Tragically Hip, is proving sad news won’t keep them from doing what they love.

Just a day after announcing news that frontman Gord Downie is battling terminal brain cancer, the band has released a list of summer tour dates across Canada.

With the release of their 14th studio album release upon us, the Man Machine Poem Tour will kick off on July 22 in Victoria, and wrap up in Kingston, Ont. on August 20.

Tickets for the tour will be available on Friday, June 3 at 10 a.m., local time.

According to the band, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sunnybrook Foundation.

July 28 - Edmonton, Alta.

August 1 - Calgary, Alta.

August 5 - Winnipeg, Man.

August 16 - Hamilton, Ont.

August 18 - Ottawa, Ont.

August 20 - Kingston, Ont.
