More details released about fatal Trans-Canada crash

RCMP has confirmed that one person is dead following the crash on the Trans-Canada highway. 

The accident took place between Revelstoke and Golden on Forde Station Road on Friday.

The Golden-Field RCMP and the RCMP Traffic Services responded to the crash and three people were transported by BC Ambulance to Golden with injuries.

RCMP confirmed that one man died during the accident. According to Const. Spencer Lainchbury, Media Relations Officer, Golden/Field RCMP, the deceased is believed to be an 80-year-old man from Richmond, B.C.

Police are working with the BC Coroner’s Service to investigate the incident.
