One of Kelowna’s favourite morning show duos is back at it again.

After a few months off, Kevin Lim and Sonia Sidhu will be hitting the airwaves on Vancouver’s KiSS FM.

According to the pair, who started out at Sun FM in Kelowna, the opportunity came about pretty much the day after they were let go from The Peak in August 2016.

"It definitely allowed us to be pretty relaxed through the whole 'funemployment' period," said Sidhu. "We were pretty excited to have some time back with our family and friends.

"We knew there was going to be an opportunity that was perfect for us down the road."

The radio personalities and best friends are pretty excited to take on the new gig, thanks in large part to team at Rogers, they said.

"We felt so valued,” Lim explained. “Whenever you start any new job that's a great place to start."

Even though they had the future planned out, Lim said not being able to let fans know was tough.

On Monday, they were finally able to release the news.

Sidhu said one of the things she’s most ready for is to start up a routine once again.

"We're so pumped to be back on the air, surrounded by great people just doing what we love to do," she said.

Fans all over social media have been giving an outpouring of support ever since finding out about the new show.

"This is why we wake up so early and keep going because we know there are people on the other end of the radio who are having much fun as we are and that means a lot to us,” Lim said.

He also gave a huge shout out to all their supporters in the Okanagan.

"Some of the most valued supporters we have are from Kelowna and have been with us for so many years," said Lim. "We want to say a very special thank-you to them."

Lim and Sidhu will be throwing off a kick off party for their new show with food, drinks, Ariana Grande tickets and of course, listeners.

Even though it's a different company, and a switch from an alternative station back to a Top-40 format, Sidhu said listeners can expect the same type of show from the duo. That means first-pump Fridays, sexy slow jams, drunken spelling bee and awkward sound effects.

If you’re wanting to check out to the host's new show out of Vancouver, you can check out the KiSS Radio app or website to listen live, wherever you are.
