People in B.C. who were travelling on the Coquihalla Highway on Thursday night were in for an interesting experience.
Icy conditions due to freezing rain made the roadway impassible and Highway 5 was closed in both directions between Hope and Merritt.
Many drivers were forced to sleep in their cars.
