Multiple highways in B.C. have been closed or reduced to single lane traffic on Wednesday morning.
According to DriveBC, Highway 1 is closed in both directions 750 m East of the Yale Tunnel due to a rockslide. The estimated time of opening is currently not available. Currently, a detour is available via Highway 5 and Highway 8.
Highway 99 is open to single lane alternating traffic, 15 km North of Lillooet, after a washout. Drivers should be aware that a weight restriction of 50% legal axle load is in effect between Fountain Valley Road through to Pavilion-Clinton Road. You can expect minor delays and should be on the lookout for flagging personnel.
There is debris on Highway 31, 10 km south of Meadow Creek to 5 km south of Meadow Creek and the road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic.
A travel advisory is in effect for both Highway 40 and Highway 1 due to freezing rain. Travel is not recommended on either of these roadways unless absolutely necessary.
Both Little Fort Ferry and McLure Ferry are out of service due to ice flow.
