If you weren't already aware, the 33rd running of the Vancouver Sun Run took place on Sunday.

Considered one of the largest road races in the world, the Sun Run is a springtime tradition for not only Vancouverites, but people all over B.C.

People travel from all over to participate in the 10 kilometre race, which is run through the streets of downtown Vancouver.

This year, Joseph Gray of Colorado Springs won the race with a time of 29:38, while Karolina Jarzynska-Nadolska of Poland won the women's race in 32:39.

Gray and Jarzynska-Nadolska were two of nearly 42,000 participants this year, a lot of which are running the race more to finish than to win.

Here are 25 photos of Sunday's big race that we collected through social media.
