The Revelstoke pipe mountain coaster is back for another year.

After a successful first summer, the summer tourist attraction will open up on Saturday.

The unique single-track coaster can reach speeds of up to 42kms an hour, winding its way 1.4km down the mountain from Revelation Lodge to the Village Plaza.

Unlike a traditional coaster, riders control their own speed, making it fun for all ages.

The ride will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the long weekend and then will revert back to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until June 29th.

Starting June 30th, the ride will be open 12 hours a day, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., all the way until the Labour Day weekend.

As an added bonus to the coaster, guests can now ride the Revelation Gondola all the way to the top of the mountain.

From there, you’ll be treated to wonderful views and a number of walking and hiking trails you can try.

For hours, rates and packages, visit the Revelstoke website.
