2 anglers face multiple charges after fishing in closed portion of BC lake

A pair of fishermen are in hot water following an alleged incident in 2019. 

According to the BC COS, two anglers face multiple charges related to fishing in a closed portion of Great Central Lake near Port Alberni. 

Officers seized fishing rods, tackle and more after coming across the anglers in the closed section. 

The two face several charges including fishing during a closed time, fishing with prohibited bait, providing a false statement, and more. 

Both anglers will appear in court on July 29.
