(UPDATE: 4:20 p.m.): The RCMP has confirmed that the missing trio are fine because they have been "seen in person".

(UPDATE: 9:55 a.m.) - A trio of Alberta travellers that were reported missing have been in contact with NowMedia through Facebook.

Nickolas Grunwald said he has "no idea" how a missing persons appeal was issued.

"We went on holidays from Lethbridge, Alberta – next thing we know we're on the news."

However, RCMP Cst. James Grandy says the police can't rescind the missing persons report yet.

"They may have been in contact via Facebook, however, we need to meet them in person to check their well-being," he told us.

NowMedia will update this story when the RCMP can confirm the missing trio's well-being.

(Original story: 9 a.m.) - RCMP in British Columbia are appealing for the public’s help to locate two missing Alberta men and a young child.

The trio are believed to be travelling together in B.C., likely in the B.C. Interior, Lower Mainland or on Vancouver Island.

Missing is Conrad Johnston, his 11-year-old son Conrad Johnston Jr. and their friend Nickolas Grunwald.

The Johnstons left their home in Lethbridge and have not been in touch with family since May 31.

The trio is believed to be driving a white GMC Sierra with Alberta license plate CCD7382.

If you have any information on their whereabouts, you’re encouraged to call 911.
