Most people can only dream of winning a major lottery jackpot and being set for life.

That makes it quite astonishing when you hear about a ticket worth millions of dollars going unclaimed after a year.

That could be the case for one person who bought a ticket in Vancouver for the Lotto Max draw on Aug. 13, 2021.

It won the $15-million jackpot, but no one has stepped up with the ticket to claim the prize in nearly 365 days since the draw.

“All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize,” the BCLC explained.

Anyone who purchased a Lotto Max ticket in Vancouver last August is urged to check their clothes, beach bags, suitcases, glove boxes or anywhere else they may have left a lottery ticket.

The winning numbers were 1-14-17-20-28-32-38.

Whoever is the rightful owner of the ticket has only five days left to come forward, as it will expire at midnight on Saturday.
