BC Coroners Service investigating after hiker discovers dead body in the Shuswap

RCMP in the Shuswap believe there were no apparent criminal actions involved in a man's sudden death on Monday. 

Around 3 pm, the man's body was discovered by a hiker in a wooded park area of Blind Bay.

Officers attended and determined the man had died suddenly, however, no suspicions were raised regarding the cause. 

The BC Coroner's Service has been notified and has launched a concurrent fact finding investigation into the male's death.

Due to the privacy of the deceased, as per the Coroners Act, the name will not be released.
