An RCMP officer was arrested by the Vancouver Police Department on Tuesday.

He’s alleged to have performed indecent acts near a private all-girls school in the city while off duty.

His arrest follows a lengthy sexual misconduct investigation into alleged incidents near York House school in Vancouver.

Since his arrest on Tuesday, the officer has been released on several conditions.

His identity hasn’t been made public because police say charges haven’t yet been approved.

Dawn Roberts, an RCMP spokeswoman, says the officer is suspended with pay and an internal code of conduct investigation has been launched.
