If you have been considering adopting an animal to join your family, the BC SPCA is offering you a great chance to do just that over the next 10 days.

Until Sunday, May 5, all BC SPCA locations across the province will be offering 50% off adoption fees in celebration of Adopt-a-Shelter-Pet Day on April 30.

The organization does these promotions a few times a year and it’s a great time to pull the trigger on an adoption, if the time is right for you.

If you’re still on the fence and would like a little more information, all BC SPCA animal centres will host open houses on Saturday, April 27.

“The open houses are an opportunity for the public to learn more about what the BC SPCA does and see all of the ways we care for animals in our community,” says Adrienne McBride, BC SPCA senior director of community animal centres.

“It also gives us a chance to shine a light on some of the amazing animals in our centres who have been patiently waiting for their forever home.”

The open houses will begin at either noon or 1 pm, depending on location, and those interested in attending are encouraged to confirm details on their own.

If you are considering adopting an animal in the coming days while fees are slashed in half, visit the BC SPCA website to view some of your options.
