A driver in Vancouver has quite the bill to pay after receiving a pair of distracted driving tickets in just six minutes.
They were first pulled over at 9:49 a.m. on Monday in the 900 block of Seymour Street in downtown Vancouver.

The Vancouver Police Department officer gave the driver a $368 ticket and sent them on their way.
However, it wasn’t long before they came upon another VPD officer and once again the driver was pulled over for once again using an electronic device while driving.
Maybe they couldn’t wait to text someone their frustrations over the ticket, or post about it on Facebook, but they were pulled over just one block away, in the 800 block of Seymour Street.
The six minutes in between tickets also includes the time it took to write the ticket, so it was likely a matter of seconds between leaving the first officer and being pulled over by the second.
This may have been an odd enough occurrence to make the VPD’s Twitter account, but it’s far from the only driver getting pulled over for distracted driving.
According to Deputy Chief Howard Chow, the VPD handed out more than 250 distracted driving tickets this past weekend alone and more than 1,100 tickets since the start of the month.
