(UPDATE: Nov. 27 @ 10:45 am) – The search for a BC man who went missing in Dallas, Texas has come to a tragic end.

According to Aaron Tschritter’s wife Melissa, he was involved in a fatal car accident with another man he met in Dallas.

Early this morning, Melissa updated her social media explaining that Aaron, 29, was headed back to his hotel room when the accident occurred.

In one post she explains that Aaron's group of friends wanted to attend a club but he was not interested and as he was heading back to the hotel he met a fellow car enthusiast.

They shared a conversation about the man's BMW and discovered they had a similar interest in performance cars.

The man offered Aaron a ride in his car and was “showing Aaron what the car was capable of when they lost control. Both of them did not make it.”

According to the Dallas police, they responded to the accident shortly after 2 am on Nov. 25 and Aaron was later identified as one of the deceased.

Melissa is headed back to Chilliwack today after receiving the devastating news shortly after she arrived in Texas to assist with the search for her husband.

“This has been absolute hell but Aaron is happy with Jesus and we will see him again,” Melissa shared in a social media post today.

She also shared multiple pictures of her small family and received messages of support and condolence.

(Original Story: Nov. 26 @ 1:50 pm) – A Chilliwack man who flew to Dallas with a group of friends to see an NFL game has mysteriously gone missing.

Aaron Tschritter was last seen around 2 am on Thursday when he left Vinty Club in downtown Dallas.

He was not in his hotel room in the morning and did not show up for the Thanksgiving game between the Dallas Cowboys and Las Vegas Raiders, which was the primary reason for the trip.

His wife Melissa posted to social media and said the 29-year-old has made no contact with family, which is “incredibly unlike him,” and his phone is going straight to voicemail.

She added that she has checked his credit card statements and called at least 10 hospitals in the area, but has found nothing to help track her husband down.

Melissa has spent the day flying to Dallas, a lengthy trip through Seattle and Salt Lake City, to join the search.

A missing persons report has been filed with the Dallas Police Department (DPD).

Aaron is described as 5’10”, 190lbs with short brown hair, hazel eyes and a birthmark on his right forearm.

Anyone with information on Aaron’s whereabouts is urged to contact the DPD.

You can keep up with the search through Melissa's Instagram page.
