For Angeline Splockton, buying scratch & win tickets and playing them right before bed is a nightly routine.

That nightly routine appeared to have paid off to the tune of $500 from a Luxury Crossword ticket, but it turned out to be worth a whole lot more.

“I was scratching each letter and saw that I had nine words and won $500,” she explained.

“I had to double check the ticket on my BCLC Lotto! app since I was so focused that I had won $500, it took me a while to realize that I had uncovered 11 words and won $100,000!”

The Tsawwassen woman was obviously ecstatic after realizing her good fortune and said she couldn’t wait to share the news with everyone she knew.

She already has a few ideas for the prize money, as she’s eyeing a new car and a weekend spa trip with her daughter once it’s safe to do so.

The rest will be put away for her family’s future needs.

Splockton’s winning ticket was purchased from the Petro Canada gas station on Tsawwassen Drive.
