The body of a man has been recovered from the Sicamous Creek Falls Trails.

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) said that the Shuswap Search and Rescue team were called  to the area Thursday to assist in locating and recovering the body of a man who died after a fall.

The CSRD expressed their sympathy to the family and friends of the victim in a public statement.

“We appreciate the work of the SAR volunteers in difficult terrain and under such challenging circumstances. As well, we wish to thank the public for respecting the temporary park closure,” they said.
