UPDATE: Due to current Provincial Health Officer orders, Canyon Lights will not be going ahead this year.

"Unfortunately, due to the Provincial Health Authority’s announcement this afternoon, we will not be moving forward with Canyon Lights operations this holiday season. We will maintain our current Capilano Suspension Bridge Park operating hours of 11am to 6pm at this time with COVID safety measures in place," an advisory from the park said.

The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park has announced that Canyon Lights will return shortly.

The light show was supposed to open today, but was postponed to Dec. 8 due to provincial health orders.

Canyon Lights featured millions of twinkling lights on the suspension bridge and rainforest.

Along with interactive light displays, the 250-year-old Douglas-firs at Treetops Adventure light up from top to bottom, making them the eight tallest Christmas trees in the world.

Visitors can also see the “Arc de Lumina”, which features 40 loops wrapped around the boardwalk and over 4,000 lights creating a light tunnel perfect for photos.

The festival begins on Dec. 8, 2020 and runs until Jan. 3, 2021.
