The BC Conservation Officer Service is investigating another coyote attack in Stanley Park.

It happened around 9:30 pm on Wednesday as a woman was jogging around the seawall.

According to the BCCOS, she was bitten on the leg by a coyote and suffered minor injuries.

“Conservation officers will be working in Stanley Park to help ensure public safety,” explained the BCCOS. “Patrols are expected to continue for several days.”

They’re also working to locate and euthanize the coyote responsible for this latest attack.

“We continue to urge the public to be alert and take precautions if in Stanley Park, in case of an encounter with an aggressive coyote,” the BCCOS added.

“The BCCOS continues to work with park rangers, area organizations, the municipality and wildlife biologists on a long-term strategy to address and reduce coyote conflicts.”

Aggressive coyotes have become a serious issue in Stanley Park over the past few months.

Just over a week ago, four coyotes were euthanized by the BCCOS after a toddler was attacked in the park.
