Since first reporting on the saga that is Bops the dog, NowMedia has received plenty of tips from travelers in the area and confirmation from the BC SPCA that there is a very high chance the “wolf” from the video is actually Bops.

The BC SPCA has also confirmed that despite the fact Bops has been missing for over a year, it is realistic he could successfully be reunited with his owner.

For those not familiar, Bops is a missing wolf-malamute mix that has been seen several times along Highway 93 near Radium Hot Springs.

NowMedia is asking readers who may be traveling in the area or know people in the region to keep their eyes peeled and hopefully turn this into a success story!

The photo collage below was sent to us on October 14th and the animal in the photo does a bare a striking resemblance to the photos of Bops provided by his owner.

These photos have been provided by Bops' owner.

Here are some of the tips we have received thus far:

We were driving past the Kootenay River Day Use Area on Highway 93 around 5.30 pm tonight in the rain and what we thought at first was a wolf trying to attack a crow or steal its carrion, ran across the road in front of us.

We saw a similar pooch yesterday rolling to scratch his back by the side of 93 about 30 minutes past radium heading towards Banff, but assumed it was a wolf.

- Heather October 14th

I'm 90% sure I saw this wolf/dog in a field off Hwy 1 west of Stoney Nakoda on Sunday, October 1st. He was heading west in a field of horses.

"There are stories of dogs who have been on the lamb for a long time and they have adjusted back," said Dr. Sara Dubois, Cheif Scientific Officer. "There are also dogs that have been in the sled dog industry that live without a lot of human contact in horrific situations that have been rehabilitated back so I think that there is absolutely potential for this animal to be reunited with its owner."

Bops' owner Christine Clark has provided her email for tips related to her missing dog. She can be reached at christinelynn82@hotmail.com
