One British Columbian could be in store for one heck of a Christmas after purchasing a winning Lotto 6/49 ticket.
A Lotto 6/49 ticket for last night’s draw was purchased in Richmond.
It was the only one in Canada with the winning numbers of four, 18, 26, 36, 41 and 42.
That lucky ticket holder is $5 million richer.
Any lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date to claim their prize.
Once that lucky person steps forward to claim their prize, BCLC will announce the location and winners’ name. Be sure to keep an eye out for that announcement.
This is the fifth time this year a 6/49 ticket purchased in BC has won a significant jackpot.
The other big winners were:
- John and Travis Bonner (Chilliwack): $8 million in March 9 draw
- Lana and Joery Leung (Burnaby): $6 million in March 16 draw
- Nang (Paul) Trinh (Surrey): $18.7 million in April 6 draw
- Trang Dang (Burnaby): $10.9 million in May 28 draw
The chances of winning a Lotto 6/49 are one in 13,983,816.
So far, BC lottery players have redeemed more than $101 million in winnings from Lotto 6/49.
