An overnight earthquake with an epicentre around 65 kilometres north of Seattle was felt in British Columbia.
The tremor, which hit the Three Lakes area of Washington State, less than 20 km from Everett, was measured at magnitude-4.6 around 2:51 am today.
The earthquake, which had a depth of 24.3 km, was unsurprisingly felt in Seattle, but it was felt in multiple parts of B.C. as well.

Residents of Vancouver, Victoria and other spots near the border jumped on Twitter in the middle of the night to say they felt shaking.
“Went on Twitter just to make sure I wasn’t crazy,” said user @jothmsn. “I felt that earthquake all the way on Vancouver Island!”
A tweet from @cheaubrey said “anyone else felt what seem(ed) like an earthquake (in) Vancouver? That woke me from my sleep…”
This morning’s tremor follows a cluster of quakes off Vancouver Island last week and a pair of major earthquakes that shook southern California on Thursday and Friday.
