Patrons to a popular Vancouver strip club may be in serious danger after possibly being exposed to COVID-19 this week.

According to Vancouver Coastal Health, residents who visited Brandi's Exotic Show Lounge, located on the 5th floor of 595 Hornby Street, between June 21 and 25 could have been exposed to the virus. Multiple individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 attended the strip club on those dates.

At this time, there is no risk to any individuals who attended the club outside of those times. There is also no ongoing risk to the nearby community.

"As a precaution, we are advising people who attended Brandi's Exotic Show Lounge during those hours to monitor themselves for 14 days," wrote VCH. "As long as they remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate and they should continue with their daily activities."

For those who don't know, Coronavirus is spread by respiratory droplets when a person who is sick coughs or sneezes. It can also be spread when a healthy person touches objects or surfaces where the virus is present.

NowMedia will update the story when more information is available.
