The province is reporting 154 wildfires burning as of today, making for a total of 754 fires and 373,165 hectares burned in B.C. this season so far.

There is currently 3,749 firefighters and personnel working on the fires, with the assistance of 994 out of province personnel, 1,291 contractors, and 213 aircraft.

There is reportedly no significant growth in any of the noteworthy fires despite the strong winds the interior has been experiencing.

The fires that were caused by lightning in the southeast region saw successful initial attacks by crews, and weather on Monday, July 24th is predicted to be cooler with a decrease in winds. However, fire personnel are expecting Tuesday, July 25th, to be hot with unstable conditions in the form of thunderstorms.
