Blame it on autocorrect?

A line painter contracted by the city of Revelstoke made an unfortunate and extremely ironic spelling mishap on Tuesday.

Tasked with repainting the school zone road the sign in front of Revelstoke’s Columbia Park Elementary, the painter didn't exactly get an A+ for their efforts.

The city's Manager of Operations told KelownaNow that the mistake was made when the contractor accidentally flipped the middle of three stencils used to create the word.

The three stencils have two letters each: SC, HO and OL.

The City of Revelstoke said the sign was corrected on Wednesday, but not before social media could have a laugh at the spelling gaff.

Stay in "school" kids!
