Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for highway passes on Wednesday, September 20th.

Light snow has been observed on the Okanagan Connector, Rogers Pass and Kootenay Pass.

Snow is expected on some highway passes for today and tonight, with the most significant accumulations expected over the Kootenay Pass.

A cold air mass associated with an upper low has caused freezing levels to plummet this week.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Road conditions are available on the Drive BC website.
