Two adventure-seeking children were well on their way to London when their plan was foiled by a responsible transit employee.
Ed Boleak, a transit operator in Burnaby, had two young girls, aged 10 and 12, board his bus just before midnight. The pajama-clad children prompted Boleak to alert Transit Police, who showed up to make sure they made it home.
However, the responding officers found the two girls had big plans for their late night adventure, as they found a map on them that would lead them to London.
When asked on Facebook which London the two girls were heading for, London, U.K. or London Ont., police said “London Drugs.”
“The two girls had been having a sleepover when they “snuck” out of the house to go on an adventure that included following a hand-drawn map for the journey,” said the Transit Police. “Unfortunately they didn’t realize how much potential danger they were putting themselves in, or the distress they were causing their parents.”
The two girls were eventually reunited with their very concerned parents by Cst. Cho and Cst. Cantera arrived to pick up the children and bring them home.
