A BC resident travelling through Banff National Park lost their ride after getting busted for excessive speeding.

The Alberta RCMP said that they pulled over the driver on Friday for speeding 181 km/hr in the 90 zone at the park.

Not only was the driver going double the speed limit, they were also driving an uninsured vehicle.

Police say the vehicle was towed and the driver was issued summons for mandatory court.

The RCMP are reminding people to keep roads safe and to follow the posted speed limits.
