UPDATE: BC woman receives fine for driving down set of stairs

(UPDATE: July 23 @ 7:30am) - The Vancouver woman who was filmed driving down a set of stairs outside the Sheraton Wall Centre has been fined.

According to the Vancouver Police Department, she's received a fine of $368 and the police investigation has now concluded.

It's still not known why she took the ill-advised route, but maybe her GPS simply led her astray.
 

(Original story: July 20 @ 12:30pm) - A shocking video has surfaced on the internet showing a woman driving down some stairs in Vancouver. 

The video was originally posted on Facebook and has garnered thousands of views since yesterday. 

The user wrote the incident took place at Sheraton Wall Centre.

A woman can be seen in the driver’s seat looking very stuck in the middle of some stairs outside a building. 

She eventually makes her way down and manages to use her turn signal to merge into traffic. 

There’s no word on how or why she decided to drive down the staircase, but at least she was able to get herself back on the road.
