UPDATE: Trans-Canada east of Golden is now open

UPDATE - June 18, 2017 - The Trans-Canada is now clear of the earlier incident five km east of Golden and fully open. 

UPDATE - June 17, 2017,  4:30 p.m. -  With regards to the vehicle Incident five km east of Golden. The road is now open to single lane alternating traffic.

Original story - Vehicle incident closes Trans-Canada east of Golden

Highway 1 closed at 3 p.m. on Saturday due to a vehicle incident about five kilometres east of Golden. The highway is closed in both directions.

There is currently no estimated opening time of the highway and no available detour.

An assessment is in progress.

DriveBC is estimated to update any information at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
