Woman charged with 7 counts of theft after luggage stolen from YVR carousel

A woman has been charged with seven counts of theft after an investigation by Mounties into the stealing of luggage at Vancouver International Airport. 

Miriam Tremblay, 26, from Vancouver, will appear in court in Richmond today. 

She is alleged to have taken luggage from carousels at the airport between July 12 and Aug. 2 in the Domestic Terminal building. 

Richmond RCMP arrested her on Aug. 2.

On Aug. 26,  BC prosecutors approved charges against Tremblay of seven counts of theft under $5,000. 

“Richmond RCMP YVR Detachment is committed to ensuring the safety and security of travellers to Vancouver International Airport,” Sgt Ross Lundie said. 

“Our officers, especially those from our Airport Crime Unit, have been steadfast in gathering evidence to move this case forward.”
