According to PadMapper, the average price of a one-bedroom rental in Kelowna jumped nearly 6% from October to November, with the average rent for two-bedroom units increasing over 3%.

The data shows that one bedroom rentals are now going for a median price of $1,280.

Meanwhile, two bedroom rentals are going for a median price of $1,600.

Despite a month over month rent increase of under 10%, Kelowna's rental rates for a one bedroom unit has skyrocketed since this time last year.

The average price of one bedroom rentals is up 13.3% since this time last year, while the average price of a two bedroom rental has jumped 3.2%.

Even with the large increase in the price of one bedroom units over the past 12 months, Kelowna remains the cheapest of the four B.C. cities sitting in the top 10.

After being taken over by Toronto, Vancouver is currently the second most expensive city for renters in Canada, with Burnaby sitting third and Victoria not far behind in sixth place.

Abbotsford, where the average price of a one bedroom unit is $900, sits at 20th and is the only other city in B.C. to make the list.
